Love the Military Technology Museum?

The Military Technology Museum is are looking for motivated volunteers to help in all areas of Museum operations.  Are you a high school student looking to expand your resume with service at a non-profit cultural institution? Are you retired with experience and skills to help the Military Technology Museum ? Do you have occasional time to “give back” by volunteering your services – Weekends? Nights? Periodically?

The Military Technology Museum would not be what it is today without it’s volunteers. Please consider a fulfilling vocation donating your time as a Military Technology Museum. We provide full training for all positions. Just fill out the application and we’ll be in touch!

Front Desk Greeter

Welcome visitors as they enter the Museum, assisting them  with exhibit information. Choose the hours that work best for you: mornings, afternoons or weekends.

Gallery Docent / Collection Guide

Exhibitions are always changing at the Military Technology Museum, highlighting history, science, and art. Learn about our new exhibits before they are open to the public and then share your knowledge with interested visitors.

Education / Workshops / Special Events

Calling former teachers, scout leaders, and Sunday School teachers. We need your experience helping with arts and crafts activities at children’s and family events held throughout the year. High School students who love working with children we need you too! Volunteer hours available on Weekdays and Saturdays.

Administration

Learn how museums operate by helping with a variety of back-office tasks: mailings, filing, news clipping, and computer work using basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Membership and Development

Work with our Membership Manager on all phases of Museum Membership from recruitment of new members to renewal and maintenance of existing members. Our Development Director provides experience with managing donations, bequests and development campaigns and events.

Exhibitions

Are you a maker?  Do you love crafts, art projects and assembling and organizing displays? Can you sew? If you answered yes, you will thoroughly enjoy working with our exhibition team.

Not sure where you want to donate your time? Prefer an ever-changing opportunity to learn different museum operations? We love your attitude! Just indicate on the volunteer application your days and hours of availability and we’ll work with you to choose the most satisfying work schedule.
